Project Description:
As Jonathan Sanchez' no-hitter unfolded we received word that his father was in attendance for the first time ever watching his son pitch a Major League Baseball game and quickly reacted adjusting on the fly to prepare for an extra special celebration.
My Role:
Took initiative and dispatched staff member to stay with Sanchez' father and escort him to the field to prepare for the no-hit celebration in the top of the 9th.
Successfully produced live moment including heartfelt hug and celebration between with father and son.
The Outcome:
Jonathan Sanchez in emotional embrace with father following his no-hit performance.
This father and son moment took an already impactful moment and made it that much more heartfelt and special. The moment has been hailed as one of the more memorable and special in recent Giants history.
